To double-check if your phone is eSIM compatible, simply dial *#06# into your keypad. If you see a pop up which includes an EID number on the screen, then your device is eSIM compatible. Simple!

5G on iD Mobile

5G compatible device and 5G coverage required.

Choosing a pay monthly phone means you’ll pay for your handset in instalments over a set period, as part of a mobile phone contract. If you don’t want to pay the full cost of a brand-new phone in one go, this option means you can spread the cost over the course of your contract.

When you choose an iD Mobile phone contract, you’ll pay a monthly fee over the course of a 24-month period.

With a pay monthly contract, you can get your hands on the latest phones and spread their cost over the length of your contract (included with the cost of your minutes, texts, and data). A SIM only deal means just that — you don’t get a phone included. You just pay for your contracted minutes, texts, and data each month.

All iD Mobile customers are subject to a credit check when making an order. If you fail our credit check, we’ll send you an email to let you know.

Failing a credit check doesn’t always mean you can’t purchase a pay monthly phone with us – we might just need to look at other options, like a cheaper phone or plan available to you. We’ll always try our best to find something different to suit your needs.

It’s also important that you don’t process multiple orders without first reviewing your initial order results. Multiple credit checks can have a negative effect on your credit rating.

Can I switch my number from another network to an eSIM?

Yes, you can use a PAC or STAC as usual if you wish to keep or ditch your number when joining iD Mobile. If you’re currently using an eSIM with your previous network and plan to switch your number over to iD, we recommend deleting your old eSIM after you’ve successfully downloaded your new iD Mobile eSIM. For additional information, please visit our switching page.

You will be sent an email that contains a QR Code to download your eSIM. You will need to download the eSIM directly onto the phone you’ll be using. For a step-by-step guide, check out our helpful Community article.

If your phone gets delayed – because it’s out of stock or on pre-order – and you’ve picked an eSIM at checkout, don’t worry. We’ll send your eSIM as soon as your phone is dispatched. Remember: you’ll have to wait until your phone arrives before you can download the eSIM.

Our fair usage policy applies to all pay monthly phone, SIM Only and Pay-as-you-go plans. Our open data policy applies to selected plans.
